Marques Houston: Mr. Houston

Mr. Houston

Marques Houston is not that little strange fellow on "Sister, Sister" anymore. He is a full grown man with the looks, the body, and the voice. His fourth solo album, "Mr. Houston" will be released this month September 29, 2009.

The first single from this album, "I Love Her" was release on June 30, 2009. The song is nice, but similar lyrics have been sang by Lil Wayne, Ludacris, and several other artist. "I Love Her" is simply about a man that has an array of women to choose from all over the world, he don't know which one to love. How many times have we heard that before? I must say that…I was quite disappointed to hear auto-tunes on this song. Auto- tunes have been over rated in the music industry I agree with Jay-Z, let's kill the auto-tunes for a while. In my opinion, it does not help an artist that already has a great smooth voice it only causes confusion with the lyrics. Marques Houston has a wonderful voice - he does not need any adjustments to his vocals. Also, I must mention this album was recorded in 2007- August 2009.

I got a chance to peek at his music video for "Body", and this ladies and gents is one sexy video. Marques puts it down on this one. He finds out everything she likes and he delivers, he even fix breakfast in the morning. Now, this is strictly for the grown and sexy, like myself….and I can appreciate that. "Body" will definitely be a favorite on this album. You can view video here .
