Act Of Congress: On The Frontlines

"I guess it's all of our backgrounds of music. We bring it all to rehearsals and it comes out as Act Of Congress."

Q: What's the meaning behind your group's name?

A: We were at a rehearsal and were trying to schedule
our next rehearsal. Someone said its gonna take an act of congress to get us all together at the same time same place. That name kind of stuck, we're not with the government, I promise.

Q: Where are you guys from?

A: Bethany, Adam and I are from Birmingham. Tim our bass player is from Mobile.

Q: What's the origin of the group, how did you get started?

A: Adam and I went to school together and we just played around town. We met Tim in a recording session and hit it off. Bethany we kind of lucked up on.

Q: What inspired you to do this style of music?

A: I guess all of our backgrounds of music. We bring it all to rehearsals and it comes out as Act Of Congress.

Q: Any shows lined up for the future?

A: We're doing a bunch of summer festivals right now. City Stages, Alabaster City Festival we just in summer festival.
